Trading for 32 plus years. I started on a IBM xt with mathcad. Built my own market model based on standard deviations and weighted averages. Difficult back then. I win some. I lose some. I try to do the former over the latter.
I invest in companies with strong fundamentals which are also significantly undervalued, presenting a good margin of safety. I write extensively about my ideas and investment strategies on my blog at Soberstocks.com
I'm trying to be a swing trader. I've lost money in the past by holding on to losers. Lately I always cut losses below 5% and aim for 10%+ gains. I sometimes miss out on winners, but I'm in the black now and feel I'm making good progress.
