Regrettably Oregon produces 3x as much cannabis as they consume. They ship the excess to illegal states, where they put pressure on local prices. The price for a pound of weed used to be $4,000 in Florida. Now it's $2,000-$2,400 and local growers are hurting. Many of them have left the business. Some of them can't. It's a hard time for Florida growers. But the thing that really sucks? The price of an ounce of weed in Florida has not fallen significantly as has the wholesale price. 'nearly double the yield' is one hell of a claim...but the sentence is future tense so it's a prediction (and a hope). Can't say I'm a fan of celebrities using their fame to make a buck in the cannabis business. I'd rather see Simon at Serious Seeds (the guy who bred AK-47, Kali Mist, and White Russian strains) double his business. Happy Friday.
