"Known/experienced vs. unknown/not yet experienced" is a good point, I'll grant you that. My point is the distinction in morbidity and the amount of fear that is appropriate to that. So far, there are 20,000 CV illnesses and 427 deaths in China, and 2 deaths outside of China. But the flu? In the U.S. alone, the flu has already caused an estimated 19 million illnesses, 180,000 hospitalizations and 10,000 deaths this season, according to the CDC. There will likely be 30,000+ more flu deaths before May. Right now, there is a lot of CV death-induced fear mongering, which makes no sense given that so many die from the flu every year and there is no panic. Which bring me to my larger point: if you fear God, you should not fear death regardless of the cause.
@Dr_Stoxx - it’s an apples to oranges comparison...the viruses are not the same...& we have experience combating the flu vs. the corona virus...it’s important to learn as much as we can about the virus...but referencing the flu to minimize the corona virus is irresponsible
