$AC.CA Ok, long term bulls on this board have suffered and newcomers (Welcome...!) are speculative. Safety in aviation has often been compared with safety in healthcare. Convergence and divergence of safety-related behaviours across aviation and healthcare is of course there. But the truth is, healthcare has much to learn from aviation in certain key domains, the transfer of lessons from aviation to healthcare needs to be nuanced, with the specific characteristics and needs of healthcare borne in mind. If even a singular level of fatality was to happen in aviation, airlines would stop flying, airports would close, and sometimes there would be congressional hearings and there would be a presidential commission. No one would be allowed to fly until the problem had been solved. That doesn’t happen to such a degree with failed healthcare. Bottom line, this is one of the safest and most regulated fields out there. But they need time to fix and cure issues, be patient please.
