$SHOP The most insane part is that this is their *THIRD* offering in one year, and the first was at $700 with the second being at $900. Management knows they're a massive bubble and is taking advantage, as they should, but holy shit... They viewed themselves as overvalued at $700 and the bubble has managed to double since. Offering at a "discount" my ass. lmao
$SHOP The only reason a company would sell stock to raise money it doesn't need is because the stock is so highly inflated - its an offer they can't refuse. The bankers offer to buy the stock because they have a public willing to buy the stock from them and they make the commission and fees. Period. The bankers did not buy the stock - they have an option to buy more for 30-days. If the stock goes up after the offering, they will exercise their option to buy and then sell immediately. If not, they have no risk. So keep holding and be like sheep to the slaughter. Or be smart and take the absurd profit just like SHOP has just done.
