And that’s great news because what researchers are beginning to realize more and more is that ACE2 receptors in the nasal area is often the first point of contact and first line of defense against the coronavirus. I’ve been reading up on intranasal vaccine research studies and without surprise, intranasal is the way to go if you want stronger immune response in the nasal area and respiratory systems in general. It’s good to see IBIO-201 may potentially be administered intranasal, hopefully in addition to intramuscular.
