$DIS workers at the company's Disneyland Resort in California held a protest inside their cars on Saturday, calling on Disney to provide onsite testing for COVID-19 & better protections for employees when the destination reopens. The protest, by workers inside 200 cars, was staged by the Coalition of Resort Labor Unions, a group of 11 unions representing 17,000 Disneyland workers. Disney planned to reopen Disneyland & California Adventure on July 17 but delayed after a spike of positive cases in the state. The state has yet to issue guidelines on how theme parks can return to business safely. On Saturday, Disney said it reached agreements with 20 union affiliates on coronavirus protections, including additional sick pay, face coverings for guests and cast members, & reduced park capacity. A representative earlier said US health authorities did not recommend COVID-19 testing for routine screening. Disney plans to open Walt Disney World in Florida on July 11.
