TRXC is in a better position to scale up, than ISRG's position to scale down. Obviously this depends on the hypothetical legislation being passed and what it entails, but if hospitals were required to include their spend on accessories in the per procedure cap, TRXC would benefit. Agreed, ISRG would pivot right away to reusable instruments, but that would crush their top line. Theyd have to really cut into their overhead a ton with mass layoffs just to break even. 50% of their revenue is a scary number.
