Stocktwits Top 25 – Week 12 📈

Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the Stocktwits Top 25 Newsletter for Week 12 of 2022.

The Stocktwits Top 25 reports the 25 best-performing stocks in the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 2000 year to date (YTD), and tracks their performances over time. 

Here are your Stocktwits Top 25 Lists for Week 12:

S&P 500

ST Top 25 S&P 500

The ST Top 25 S&P 500 List was perfect in Week 12.

All 25 stocks closed green. 

Coterra Energy climbed 16.34% as the list’s biggest winner. $CTRA improved from #15 to #8.

8 stocks gained more than 10%, the names include Mosaic, Marathon Oil, CF Industries, Coterra Energy, Hess Corp, Archer-Daniels-Midland, Nucor, and Diamondback Energy. 

Two freshmen made the cut. The stocks are Nucor Corp and Newmont Corp.

The Stocktwits Top 25 S&P 500 Momentum Meter soared 10.03% and the S&P 500 skipped 1.79%. The 8.24% difference in favor of the top stocks shows the full index lagged this week.


The Big Cap Nasdaq 100

The ST Top 25 N100 List continued higher in Week 10.

19 out of 25 stocks registered gains. 

Splunk gained a spot on the list from #3 to #2 with a 11.33% return.

T-Mobile US tanked 2.27% and fell from the fourth spot into the twelfth.

3 new names appeared on the list. The names include Constellation Energy Corp, Intel Corp, and Apple Inc.

The ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100 Momentum Meter increased 3.09% and the full Nasdaq 100 rose 2.32%. The difference of 0.77% indicates that the top-performing companies outpaced the whole index.


Small-Cap Russell 2000

The ST Top 25 R2K List was nearly perfect.

24 of 25 stocks closed positive.

Tellurian ripped 48.6% and appeared on the list as a freshman. $TELL is now ranked 11th. 

Lantheus Holdings tumbled 9.22% and slipped from #5 to #23. See more on this one. 

The list’s Freshmen are $TELL, $EIGR, $CEIX, $AR, $RRC, and $CENX.

The ST Top 25 R2K Momentum Meter raged 14.74% while the Russell 2000 index decreased 0.36%. The top stocks outperformed the whole index by 15.10%, indicating a significant difference.



The ST Top 25 Top Dawg for Week 12, 2022 is #20 N100 – Intel Corp.

Intel increased 9.23% this week and jumped onto the ST Top 25 N100 List as a freshman. $INTC’s profit was enough to claim the 20th ranking.

Shares of Intel took off 6.94% on Thursday after CEO Pat Gelsinger asserted that semiconductors have become “the new oil” in the technological age, and urged the US government to subsidize efforts of producing more here in the US to avoid supply disruptions in Asia.

The Winners 📈

△ #8 S&P 500 – Coterra Energy was the largest gainer on ST Top 25 S&P 500 List, up 16.34%. The energy company improved seven rankings from #15 to #8.

$CTRA finished positive every day this week and now has a winning streak of nine days. The stock now sits at six-year highs, we’ll see what else is in store.

△ #12 R2K – Eiger Biopharmaceuticals closed green for the fourth consecutive week. The biotech blasted 22.98% in Week 10 and snagged the 12th spot on the list as a freshman. 

$EIGR ignited 40.25% on Mar 17 after finding that Peginterferon Lambda (Lambda) significantly decreased the risk of COVID-19-related hospitalizations or emergency department visits lasting more than six hours by 50% and mortality by 60% in the Phase 3 Together study.

The stock has added onto its gains since then, closing positive four days and notching a new 52-week high.

△ #2 N100 – Splunk sparked for the second straight week. The software company ascended one ranking on the ST Top 25 N100 List from #3 to #2. 

$SPLK surged 11.33% this week as tech stocks finally got some love. The stock is now up trending and sits at four-month highs.

The Sinners 📉

#23 R2K – Lantheus Holdings didn’t have what it took in Week 12. Shares of the medical imaging company faltered 9.22% as the biggest loser on all lists. $LNTH’s ranking lowered from #5 to #23…

$LNTH was holding it together up until Thursday when the stock got clobbered 8.23%. It dipped another 2% on Friday, closing near the week’s low.

$LNTH is still up 72.72% YTD.

▼ #12 N100 – T-Mobile US tanked 2.27% as the ST Top 25 N100 List’s worst performer. The telecommunications company sank eight spots, falling from #4 to #12. 

$TMUS is still trading within a range from $117 to $130 since it reported earnings on Feb 2. Despite the poor weekly performance, the stock is still up 7.17% year-to-date.
