πŸͺ‘ Donald Trump NFTs have seen a 30% increase in value over the past week. Polygon ($MATIC)-based Trump Digital Trading Cards are currently being sold for over 0.59 ETH, or about $1,033, up from 0.33 ETH, or $578, last week. More than 735 Trump NFTs have been sold during that period, attracting 401 ether in trading volume, according to data from NFT marketplace OpenSea. The rally comes as reports suggest Trump could be indicted on charges stemming from an alleged hush money payment made to adult actress Stormy Daniels at the height of the 2016 election.Β 

πŸ—ΊοΈ According to DappRadar, NFT trading in virtual worlds hit an all-time high in Q1 2023. $311 million in virtual land trading spiked, with 147k trades generating the trading volume, with platforms like Yuga Labs’ Otherside and MG Land leading the way. Otherdeed NFTs, linked to land in the Otherside metaverse, generated $222m in trading volume – a 237% increase from the previous quarter. DappRadar’s report also found that the Sandbox, Axie Infinity, and Decentraland made the list of top virtual world dapps.

SynFutures has launched an alpha version of its NFT trading app, NFTures, which allows traders to use a Tinder-style interface to take leveraged positions on a basket of floor-price CryptoPunks. The baskets of CryptoPunks are part of NFTX treasuries, which are a type of index fund, with each containing 135 NFTs. The app has an initial trading limit of up to 0.1 ETH ($168), and trades cost around $10 in gas fees. The app is aimed at introducing the broader NFT collector audience to DeFi.

πŸͺ„ Magic Eden has launched a “fully audited” marketplace for Ordinal NFTs on the Bitcoin network. The new marketplace will allow users to buy, sell, list, and bid on the inscriptions and has partnered with Bitcoin wallets Hiro and Xverse to facilitate transactions. However, users will not have access to royalties because of the ecosystem’s lack of secure and trustless enforcement solutions.Β 

🎽 Clothing brand Aeropostale has launched a virtual store in the metaverse. Accessible through the popular social media app TikTok, the store, created in partnership with Metaverse startup The Sandbox, features Aeropostale clothing items that users can try on and purchase using the $SAND token. The move follows a growing trend of brands entering the metaverse to reach younger audiences and explore new revenue streams.
