Mega Bucks For Meta To Settle

$META just settled a lawsuit filed on behalf of roughly 250 – 280 million people. The suit claimed that Facebook shared the personal data of its users with third parties without their consent.

The settlement amount is reported to be $725 million – the largest penalty for a data privacy class action in U.S. history.

Don’t hold your breath on the amount you think you’d get. Maybe a couple of bucks per person in the class.

The settlement is part of the loooooong case involving Cambridge Analytica, where Facebook believes up to 87 million people’s data was improperly shared.

Meta is trading higher today, reclaiming the $118 value area and close to a +0.80% gain for the day at the time of writing.

If bulls keep up the pressure this afternoon, they might close Meta up for the week, making it the second consecutive green weekly close.
