Bittrex

The SEC has managed to squeeze a cool $24 million out of Bittrex. 

The SEC claimed that Bittrex (and Bittrex Global) and its former CEO, William Shihara, were running an unregistered national securities circus. Particular emphasis and allegations were brought against Shihara for basically changing labels to make things look not look shady, but that just made things more shady.
