$LYFT and Rideshare Tumble Lower After Disappointing Q2 2022 Outlook

Disappointing results from Lyft, the San Francisco-based rideshare company, offered an omen for the quarter’s remaining impact earnings calls for the rideshare/food delivery businesses.

The company’s revenue and earnings per share came in above expectations atĀ $876 millionĀ (vs. $846 million) and a gain of $0.07 per share (vs. a loss of $0.07). The beat can be credited to higher revenue per active rider figures. The company pulled $49.18 (vs. $47.07) out of its active userbase.
