$SPY how much you put at risk to make a profit is a major part of investing people don’t talk about enough. Small losses with big winners can allow you to be wrong more often. But small losses with small winners require you to be correct far more often. On stocks, I like to use double leverage with a 1.5% stop (which is a 3% loss because of the 2:1 leverage) and a 3-5% gain (which is a 6-10% gain due to the leverage). With options, I use a 10% stop with a min 30% but usually 50-100% target gain, exiting when it seems prudent (I find it more difficult to find an exit than an entrance). Your thoughts on these topics would be much appreciated. I use this forum to help me make money. There are very intelligent people here mixed in among the goofballs.
