$VXRT This was taken from an article discussing the COVID-19 front runners in the vaccine race. It stated the followings about Vaxart “After testing five different vaccine candidates in animals, the company chose its lead candidate, which generated immune responses after a single dose, for clinical testing.” I would love someone’s expert opinion, preferably medical or very familiar with vaccine testing, in relation to this. How confident are you that the testing being performed on the monkeys will be successful knowing that they selected the lead candidate which has already proven to generate immune response after a single dose? 50%, 75%, 95%? Also, what animal was used for the original test of the (5) candidates? Mice?
