$TSLA just passed 1 year of Model 3 ownership. Fuel savings were just over $1,500 or about $125 a month over 18,000 miles. Over 5 years that's $7,500. Add in the full tax incentive and a few thousand in belts, hoses, oil changes, gaskets, timing chains, etc and that's $17,000. Model 3 $40k - $17k is $23,000. That's cheaper than a base priced Honda Civic. What one would you rather drive?
$TSLA We believe that 200+ mile EVs will be sticker-price cheaper than the median vehicle before 2022 The total cost of ownership of an EV already is lower than that for gas powered car on a like for like basis. @CathieDWood
