$EVFM Saundra is on an NPR podcast again. She’s being interviewed along with Diana Blithe, the Program Chief of the Contraceptive Development Program at the National Institute of Health who is primarily focused on researching and developing male contraception which makes Phexxi a threat to her work. She spent much of the interview promoting nothing but hormonal contraceptives. This is unfortunate because in her own words from other sources, “many women cannot use hormonal contraception” and the contraceptive market needs the “development of safer, easy-to-use, acceptable products.” Like Phexxi??? Saundra had a nice response pointing out that women don’t need or want to be on hormonal contraceptives 24/7. Fast forward to the 30 minute mark. It’s about 15 minutes long. Hormonal contraceptives have been around for a long time and it's going to take some more work to change the culture around it; especially in government institutions... the1a.org/guests/saundra-pe...
