A. If you do not have a Twitter Account: If you do not have a Twitter account, go to www.twitter.com and sign up. You will then use this user name and password to sign into StockTwits.
B. If you do have a Twitter Account: Once you have a Twitter account, all you need to do is go to www.stocktwits.com and sign in using your Twitter user name and password.
If you are using TweetDeck, all you need to do is press the small $ button near the top of the screen.
By doing either of these, you will now be following StockTwits and StockTwits will be following you.
TopOnce you have signed in to StockTwits, you may post in two different ways both of which involve using the $.
First, you may post to the stream by preceding a stock symbol with the $ like this: $AMZN
If you are focusing on a specific symbol, this is the best method to use as it allows us to organize posts according to the stock symbol.
Second, if you are making a general comment about the markets or providing market commentary and are not mentioning a specific stock, FX or futures symbol, then enter two dollar signs after a space at the end of your post like this. $$
TopCurrently, StockTwits recognizes US stocks (excluding micro cap and bulletin board stocks), FX symbols and futures symbols. You can find the FX symbols recognized here.

TopTweetDeck is the number one Twitter client and with great reason. It allows you to follow multiple streams simultaneously and organize those you are following into groups.
StockTwits is integrated into TweetDeck and allows you to follow multiple StockTwits streams at once along with your favored Twitter streams. We highly recommend using TweetDeck as it provides an awesome user experience.

To use StockTwits on TweetDeck, you must first dowload it, launch it and sign in using your Twitter user name and password.
Next, you will find a small button near the top of the platform with a $ on it. Press that button and select which stream you would like to appear as a column on the TweetDeck. You can then press the button again if you would like to have multiple StockTwits streams running simultaneously.

3. Then, click ‘browse’ and search your hard drive for a profile pic and upload.
TopThere are 5 different streams on StockTwits that you can choose which give you different filters that you can customize which StockTweets. These filters allow you to tailor your experience on the site as you like.
You can find and choose these streams on the drop down menu right below the tweet entry box on stocktwits.com.
The All Stream gives you an automatically refreshing feed of all tweets that get posted to StockTwits. You will get a ton of information from this and see tweets on everything from daytrading to currencies to global macro etc.
The Commentary Stream gives you only Stocktweets that are not associated with a specific ticker. Often, Commentary tweets relate to macro views, economic takes and opinions etc.
The Portfolio Stream allows you to choose which stocks you would like to follow. To set the list of stocks on your Portfolio stream, press the My Portfolio button at the top right on the StockTwits site where you can edit your list.
The Friends Stream allows you to follow only those whom you have chosen to follow. This stream will only show those you follow on Twitter.
The Recommended Stream allows you to follow the StockTwits members that we recommend. This is far from an exhaustive list of great talent but provides a way fro you to get started building a group that you like to follow.
TopOn StockTwits, it is all about presenting high quality actionable market ideas. If you have a great insight, let it be known. If you want to learn, sit back and watch the stream; you will learn.
If you have a question about markets, put it out there and chances are you will get excellent responses.
If you are new, keep your ears up and get a feel for the information stream.

Top1. Go to www.twitter.com and login to your account.
2. Go to the profile page of the person you'd like to block by either selecting them from your 'following' list or by entering in www.twitter.com/[username] in your web browser.
3. In the user's profile page, on the right hand side of the page under 'Actions', locate the 'block' button and click.
Top1. Monitor the StockTwits feed for users that you think provide great commentary, consistently execute profitable trades, and/or post about the same securities that you're interested in. You can click on a user's name in StockTwits and look at all of the posts they've made on StockTwits with the corresponding date and time.
2. To follow a user you like, you can either click the Follow me link on their StockTwits profile page or click 'View me on Twitter' on the right side of the StockTwits page. This will direct you to the user's Twitter profile where you can follow them by clicking 'Follow.' Just be sure that you are logged in.
This person will now show up under your Friends Stream.
3. You can also use the Recommended List found here to sort through potentially great people for you to follow.
