Jamie firmly believes that psychology is fundamental to why markets trend and reverse and he adheres to the 3 tenets of technical analysis; pattern, momentum, and sentiment. He adds another layer (although it could be considered as part of momentum) in seasonality across multiple degrees of trend, which allows him to minimize risk in his trade ideas with objectively defined levels to place stops.

His pattern analysis is Elliott wave focused while standard deviations, rates of change, and range form the core of his momentum analysis. While always trying to quantify sentiment, he has found that this part of the discipline is more art (feel) than science.
