Apple Launches iPhone 17e With A19 Chip, Advanced Camera

The latest iPhone will be open for pre-order on March 4 and arrive in stores on March 11.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) on Monday unveiled its latest addition to the iPhone lineup, the iPhone 17e, a more affordable model that includes a combination of performance and advanced features. 

The latest iPhone will be open for pre-order on March 4 and arrive in stores on March 11. The iPhone 17e features Apple’s A19 chip and C1X modem for faster processing, improved connectivity, and better battery efficiency. It is a refreshed version of the ‌iPhone 16e‌ that came out in February 2025. 

Design And Performance

The new model comes with a 48MP Fusion camera, optical-quality 2x Telephoto, and 4K Dolby Vision video. The device also supports Apple’s satellite features, including Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My, allowing users to stay connected even when outside cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

The iPhone 17e sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with Ceramic Shield 2, providing three times better scratch resistance and reduced glare compared to previous models. Powered by the A19 chip built on 3-nanometer technology, the iPhone model features a 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, enabling console-quality gaming and AI processing. 

Apple stock inched over 0.8% lower in Monday’s premarket. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock remained in ‘bearish’ territory amid ‘low’ message volume levels. 

Storage Options And Price 

Available in black, white, and soft pink, storage options include 256GB and 512GB, starting at $599. Apple will hold a “special Apple Experience” on March 4 across New York, London, and Shanghai, kicking off a busy lineup of product launches this year.

Apple is expected to release several new products this year, including a new budget MacBook powered by the A18 chip, a MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and updated versions of the Studio Display, Apple TV, and HomePod.

AAPL stock has gained over 10% in the last 12 months.
