India Ratings said that a substantial expansion in the scale of operations, along with a leadership position in two or more segments, leading to a significant improvement in the operating margins and a large positive FCF, on a sustained basis, would be positive for the ratings.However, the companys inability to scale up the revenues despite capacity additions andor its inability to grow the proportion of revenues from higher-margin segments; a decline in the EBITDA margins; and subsequent debt-funded capex cycle commencing before deleveraging is completed could lead to negative rating action.CEAT is a Mumbai-based manufacturer of a wide range of automobile tyres. It has manufacturing plants across Bhandup (Maharashtra), Nasik (Maharashtra), Nagpur, Ambernath, Halol and Chennai. CEAT has a joint venture in Sri Lanka. It is further setting up TBR plant in Chennai.The scrip fell 1.58% to currently trade at Rs 2161.35 on the BSE.
