Shares of the Eveready Industries jumped 15.05% in two trading sessions from its recent closing low of Rs 353.90 on 18 August 2023.On the BSE, 1.60 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 0.15 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 418.30 in intraday today. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 273.40 on 28 March 2023.The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month, rising 20.23% compared with 2.09% decline in the Sensex.The scrip had outperformed the market in past three months, soaring 31.59% as against Sensexs 5.77% rise.However, the counter had also outperformed the market in past one year, jumping 13.49% as against Sensexs 11.09% increase.On the technical front, the stocks daily RSI (relative strength index) stood at 79.041. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, the RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30.On the daily chart, the stock was trading above its 50 day, 100-day and 200-day simple moving average (SMA) placed at 343.36, 326.45 and 332.11 respectively. These levels will act as crucial support zones in near term.Eveready Industries India manufactures batteries, flashlights and lighting.The companys consolidated net profit jumped 13.8% to Rs 24.86 crore in Q1 Fy24 as compared with Rs 21.85 crore in Q1 FY23. Net sales increased by 8.4% year on year to Rs 363.57 crore in Q1 FY24.

Eveready Inds hits 52 week high; soars 15% in two days  

New India Assurance Company Ltd, Rattanindia Power Ltd, General Insurance Corporation of India and India Glycols Ltd are among the other gainers in the BSEs A group today, 22 August 2023.Eveready Industries India Ltd surged 10.03% to Rs 411.75 at 11:45 IST. The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSEs A group. On the BSE, 1.42 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 10726 shares in the past one month.  New India Assurance Company Ltd soared 9.16% to Rs 135.2.  The stock was the  second biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 4.08 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 95235 shares in the past one month.  Rattanindia Power Ltd spiked 8.25% to Rs 5.12.  The stock was the  third biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 141.97 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 106.25 lakh shares in the past one month.  General Insurance Corporation of India jumped 8.20% to Rs 222.4.  The stock was the  fourth biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 3.56 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 79265 shares in the past one month.  India Glycols Ltd advanced 7.86% to Rs 757.  The stock was the  fifth biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 41431 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 19934 shares in the past one month.
