GTPL Hathway Consolidated June 2023 Net Sales at Rs 774.44 crore, up 22.75% Y-o-Y

Revenue from operations jumped 22.75% to Rs 774.44 crore in Q1 FY24 as compared with Rs 630.89 crore in Q1 FY23. Subscription revenue increased by 8% QoQ and 9% YoY to Rs 298.1 crore in Q1 FY24. EBITDA reduced by 7.09% at Rs 125.8 crore in Q1 FY24 as compared with Rs 135.4 crore in Q1 FY23. EBITDA margin stood at 16.1% in Q1 FY24 as compared with 21% in Q1 FY23.The companys revenue from digital cable TV business stood at Rs 298.1 crore (up 9% YoY). CATV business active subscribers grew by 6,50,000 YoY; Active subscribers stood at 9.05 million as on 30 June 2023.Revenue from broadband stood at Rs 129.2 crore in FY24, registering a growth of 13% YoY. The broadband average revenue per user (ARPU) stood at Rs 460 per month per subscriber.Anirudhsinh Jadeja, managing director GTPL Hathway said, “GTPL continues to be the largest MSO in the country and the largest Digital Cable TV & Broadband player in Gujarat. We are consistently adding active subscriber base in both business segments and our goal will be to ensure that the Company stays firmly on this path of growth while ensuring we serve our customers expectations well.”GTPL Hathway is Indias largest multi-system operator (MSO) providing digital cable tv services and is the 6th largest private wireline broadband service provider in India.The scrip rallied 7.25% to Rs 123.50 on the BSE.

GTPL Hathway  announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 15 April 2023, inter alia, have recommended the final dividend of Rs 4 per equity Share (i.e. 40%) , subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Revenue from operations rose 12.2% year on year (YoY) to Rs 692.42 crore in the quarter ended 31 Mach 2023.The company recorded a pre tax loss of Rs 11.10 crore in the fourth quarter as compared with a profit before tax of Rs 70.53 crore registered in the same period a year ago.Total expense spiked 24.31% YoY to Rs 692.88 crore during the quarter. Employee benefit expense stood at Rs 38.18 crore (up 17.3% YoY) while finance cost was at Rs 2.8 crore (down 33.01% YoY).EBITDA declined 20.57% to Rs 111.2 crore in Q4 FY23 from Rs 140 crore registered in Q4 FY22. EBITDA margin reduced to 15.9% in Q4 FY23 as compared to 22.5% posted in Q4 FY22.The companys revenue from cable TV business stood at Rs 545.26 crore (up 11.24% YoY), Internet service was at Rs 124.7 crore (up 13.61% YoY).On a full year basis, the companys consolidated net profit slumped 42.9% to Rs 113.94 crore despite of 10.3% rise in revenue to Rs 2,663.92 crore in FY23 over FY22.The firms digital cable TV revenue rose 2% YoY to Rs 1,100.5 crore in FY23. Active subscribers increased by 550,000 YoY and Paying subscribers by 400,000 YoY in FY23.  Subscription revenue grew by 2% annually.Revenue from broadband stood at Rs 482.6 crore in FY23, registering a growth of 18% YoY. During the FY23, the companys broadband subscribers increased by 11% to 104,000. Homepass was at 5.30 million, an addition of 600,000 in FY23; 75% of homepass available for Fiber to the X (FTTX) conversion. The broadband average revenue per user (ARPU) stood at Rs 460 per month per subscriber. Average data consumption per user per month was at 321 GB, 25% increase YoY.Meanwhile, the companys board recommended a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share for the financial year ended 31 March 2023.Anirudhsinh Jadeja, managing director of GTPL Hathway said, “The company has further strengthened its presence across all other markets, especially in the southern states. We continue to expand our presence in the Digital Cable TV market and have entered the states of New Delhi, Haryana & Uttarakhand. The initial response has been encouraging and we will endeavor to cement our position in these markets.”He further added, “Our Broadband business continues to show healthy growth, both in terms of subscribers and ARPU.
