Shakti Pumps (India) has received a patent for inventing a gHigh Starting Torque Direct Line Operated Energy Efficient Motor (Shakti Slip Star Synchronous Run Motor ] S4RM). The Patent Office, Government of India, has awarded Shakti Pumps this patent, fully adhering to the provisions set forth in the Patents Act of 1970. This patent is set to maintain its validity for a duration of 20 years, commencing from the date of filing. Previously, the company was granted a comparable patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in August 2022. Thus far, the company has secured 4 Patents, while also having submitted 25 Patent applications, spanning both domestic and international jurisdictions.

Shakti Pumps (India) has expanded its presence in another export market with the commencement of operations in Uganda and opened a branch office in the country. The company inaugurated solar-powered piped drinking water supply project which will provide a safe and sustainable water supply to half a million Ugandans across 20 rural districts. The company was awarded this order from the Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Water and Environment in March 2021 at a total contract price of USD 35.30 million (exclusive of VAT) funded by India Exim Bank in Uganda.

The pumps and motors manufacturer has received this patent from the Intellectual Property India, a Ministry of Commerce & Industry Organisation. The patent will hold a validity of 20 years from the date of filing of the patent. The company has received 3 patents till date and have filled 26 more patents in India and abroad.To start a single-phase induction motor, a control box that uses capacitors is required. Also, in Submersible Motors an additional conductor was required in the riser cable. These capacitors increase the possibilities of complications in circuits and voltage drop. With the help of this invention, one can avoid complications and save additional costs of conductors in the riser cable.
