Pharmazz will be entitled to upfront and milestone payments, including royalties.Kirti Ganorkar, CEO – India Business, Sun Pharma said, “The phase 3 clinical trial for Tyvalzi conducted in India demonstrated statistically and clinically meaningful improvement in neurological outcomes in ischemic stroke. It is a first-in-class innovative drug which can help improve the quality of life of stroke patients. The drug can be administered within 24 hours for the treatment of ischemic stroke. The current treatment options provide a narrow time window of 4-5 hours limiting its use in most patients.”Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries is a leading global pharmaceutical company with specialty and generic presence and Indias top pharma company.The drug makers net profit declined 1.86% to Rs 2,022.54 crore despite of 10.96% rise in net sales to Rs 11,940.84 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.The scrip declined 0.35% to currently trade at Rs 1,144 on the BSE.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries announced that one of its wholly-ownedsubsidiaries has entered into a license agreement with Pharmazz Inc., (Pharmazz), a U.S. based biopharmaceutical company to commercialise a first-in-class innovative drug, Tyvalzi™(Sovateltide) in India.
