IREDA inks MoU with UBI, BoB to co-finance renewable energy projects

 Union Bank of India has allotted 57,77,00,751 equity shares of face value Rs.10 each to eligible qualified institutional buyers at the issue price of Rs.86.55 per equity share (including a premium of Rs.76.55 per equity share) against the floor price of Rs.91.10 per equity share after considering 4.9945% discount, aggregating to Rs.4999.99 crore.

The companys board authorized and declared the opening of the issue on Monday, 21 August 2023.The floor price of Rs 91.10 is at a discount of 0.76% to the previous days closing price of Rs 91.80 on the BSE.The bank may offer a discount of not more than 5% on the floor price for the issue.Union Bank of India is engaged in the business of treasury operations, corporate and wholesale banking, retail banking operations and other banking operations. The Government of India held 83.49% stake in the bank as on 30 June 2023.The banks net profit more than doubled to Rs 3,236 crore in Q1 FY24 from Rs 1,558 crore in Q1 FY23. Total income jumped 30.4% year on year (YoY) to Rs 27,381.25 crore in Q1 FY24.The scrip rose 0.97% to currently trade at Rs 92.69 on the BSE.
