Created by former Google engineer Charlie Lee, the project is supported by the Litecoin Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ecosystem adoption. Unlike many venture-backed projects, it is maintained by a decentralized community of independent developers and a global network of miners. The project has seen recent institutional adoption, with entities like Lite Strategy and Luxxfolio Holdings adding significant amounts of LTC to their corporate treasuries as of late 2025.

Brent crude futures expiring in June surged 7% to $109 per barrel.The&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/USO">United States Oil Fund ETF</a> (USO) and the&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/UCO">ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Crude Oil ETF</a> (UCO) were up about 8% at the time of writing.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Norway Contract Worth Half Of Transocean’s Wins</h2>Transocean stated that its Norway offshore rig contract is worth $490 million, accounting for about half of the company’s $1 billion deal wins.The company said it has been awarded a 1,905-day contract with Vår Energi ASA, with the program expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027. Transocean added that the contract has options that could extend the rig’s operations into 2034, if its customer fully exercises those options.Transocean also secured a 1,095-day extension from Petrobras in Brazil for its Deepwater Orion offshore rig. This deal brings $420 million in order backlog and commits the rig’s operations through March 2030.Lastly, Petrobras also extended Transocean’s Deepwater Aquila rig’s operations by 365 days, contributing about $160 million in order backlog.The company also stated that it retired the 8.375% Senior Secured Notes due 2028 in full, settling the outstanding principal of $358 million and other dues in cash.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Here’s Why Rising Crude Prices Are A Tailwind For Offshore Rigs</h2>Higher crude oil prices increase the profitability of deepwater projects, which are capital-intensive, leading to higher demand for rigs.During sustained high oil prices, companies invest offshore to lock in future supply, not just short-term gains.Crude oil prices have risen by about 92% in 2026 so far, with nearly 55% of the surge coming over the last month amid the ongoing Iran war.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/RIG">RIG stock</a> is up 57% year-to-date and 96% over the past 12 months. David Anderson, in a research note to investors, said that the addition of 900&nbsp;megawatts of new, natural gas-fueled turbine capacity between 2026 and 2029 accelerates Solaris' growth trajectory.&nbsp;Barclays said it believes a third hyperscaler contract is "imminent" for Solaris.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Capacity Expansion</h2>Solaris on Tuesday announced it has closed two transactions that will add approximately 900 MW of new, natural gas-fueled turbine capacity between 2026 and 2029.Solaris has closed the acquisition of Genco Power Solutions, a distributed power generation company that will add 400 MW of incremental power generation capacity to Solaris between 2026 and 2028, inclusive of approximately 100 MW of currently operated and contracted capacity.&nbsp;Earlier in the week, Solaris also purchased 30 turbine delivery slots from a private party, which will provide approximately 500 MW of incremental power generation capacity between early 2027 and 2029.For both transactions, Solaris paid approximately $240 million of cash, issued approximately&nbsp;four million Solaris Class A shares (valued at approximately $215 million), and assumed approximately $165 million of indebtedness, it said in a statement.The company will now operate approximately 3,100 MW of total power generation capacity by the end of 2029. The company has also closed a new $300 million credit facility to support ongoing growth.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail Reaction</h2>Retail sentiment around SEI stock jumped from ‘bearish’ to ‘bullish’ territory over the past 24 hours.
