Bill Ackman Reveals New Microsoft Stake — Compares MSFT Setup To Earlier GOOG, AMZN, META Bets

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman on Friday revealed that Pershing Square has acquired a new stake in Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), adding that the firm will disclose the position in a 13F filing later today.

Ackman also stated in a post on X that his closed-end fund, Pershing Square USA, also made Microsoft a core holding recently.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Bill Ackman’s personal investments support PS stock price.</li><li>Sweetened deal of 1 bonus share also aided the stocks.&nbsp;</li><li>PS and PSUS end Friday below listing price.</li></ul>Billionaire Bill Ackman’s recently listed stock, Pershing Square (PS), ended Friday on a high note, surging 36% and extending its rally by another 6% in after-hours trading, supported by Ackman’s investment in the holding company as well as the closed-end fund with which it made its debut.&nbsp;Pershing Square USA (PSUS), the billionaire’s new U.S. closed-end fund, which made its debut along with PS, rose 0.2% to close at $42.80 following a rocky start to the debut.&nbsp;However, both stocks still trade below their listing price of $50.&nbsp;The rebound was fueled by regulatory disclosures showing Ackman personally purchased 500k shares of the closed-end fund and 800k shares of the management company.&nbsp;To entice investors, the offering featured a "sweetener" where IPO participants received shares of the management company alongside the fund.
