Some xAI executives could also be given the option to receive cash instead of SpaceX stock, it noted.xAI controls the social media platform X and is also known for its controversial Grok chatbot.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Entities For Merger</h2>As per the report from Reuters, two entities have been set up in Nevada to facilitate the merger, the value and timing of which remains under wraps. The entities were set up on Jan 21 and one of them is a limited company that lists SpaceX and its CFO Bret Johnsen as manager members.The second entity, meanwhile, lists Johnsen as the company’s only officer, the report said, citing company filings. The filings, however, do not elaborate on their role in a potential deal, the report said. &nbsp;According to a Reuters source, the final agreement has not been signed and details pertaining to timing and structure of the deal could change.SpaceX was most recently valued at $800 billion in an insider share sale. xAI, meanwhile, was valued at $230 billion in November, the report noted.The news comes on the heels of reports that SpaceX is contemplating an IPO as early as this year with a valuation over $1 trillion. Musk called O’Leary ‘misinformed’ who in return called him an ‘idiot’."I would pay no attention whatsoever to Elon Musk — he's an idiot," O'Leary said, adding that while Musk is "very wealthy," he is "still an idiot."&nbsp;Musk fired back on X late last week, calling O'Leary "an utter idiot" and suggesting he be fired. That exchange prompted users to suggest that Musk simply buy the airline himself and implement the changes.This week, Musk posted a poll on X asking users whether he should buy Ryanair and "restore a Ryan as their rightful ruler." Nearly 78% of respondents voted in favor, while the rest voted against.<h2 class="st-heading-2">O’Leary Reign At Ryanair</h2>O'Leary has built the airline into the biggest budget carrier in the region over several decades at the job. He is also among the top 10 shareholders in the airline.&nbsp;Recently he was awarded a major bonus package for achieving certain performance metrics on the stock. Ghori, however, did not clarify which version of the Cybertruck was handed to the employee. The higher-end Cyberbeast version of the vehicle has a starting price of $114,990.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Cybertruck Demand</h2>In December, Bloomberg reported that Tesla’s South Korean supplier L&amp;F Co. has reportedly slashed its supply contract with the EV maker down to 9.73 million won from 3.83 trillion won.&nbsp;The report also noted a person familiar with the matter attributing the slash in part to issues with the Cybertruck. The supplier only ended up providing a tiny fraction of battery material that the carmaker had ordered nearly three years ago, they added.L&amp;F was contracted to supply Tesla with high-nickel cathode material which was to be used in Cybertruck batteries but only small amounts were provided due to delays in the vehicle’s development and low consumer demand, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.The supply contract was also affected by broader policy and economic issues, including the elimination of Inflation Reduction Act subsidies which included a $7500 federal tax credit on the purchase of select EVs, the person added.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Weak Demand Haunts The Stainless Steel Juggernaut</h2>Tesla started delivering the Cybertruck in November 2023 after a long wait. However, the truck was pricier than proposed during unveiling in 2019, dragging down demand and preventing reservation holders from actually placing the order. Musk had said in 2019 that the entry level variant of the truck would start at just about $40,000, while the most premium version would start at around $70,000.The Cybertruck’s stainless steel exterior and angular design also pulled split opinions, with some deeming it ugly while others appreciated the change.Musk has previously predicted that Tesla could sell up 500,000 Cybertrucks annually. However, in 2024, the company sold only 85,133 units of all its premium models combined, which includes the Model S, X and the Cybertruck, putting Cybertruck annual sales alone at below 30,000 units on an estimate.Elon Musk’s rocket and spacecraft manufacturing company SpaceX has also reportedly bought over 1000 Cybertrucks from the billionaire’s EV company Tesla. Tesla CEO Elon Musk Reportedly Gave Away A Cybertruck To An xAI Employee On A Bet

(AAPL) and Alphabet Inc.’s (GOOGL, GOOG) Google to pull the Grok AI chatbot and the X social media app from their respective app stores.&nbsp;The coalition said the technologies are being used to produce and circulate non-consensual intimate images and child sexual abuse material, raising urgent safety concerns.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Call To Action From Advocacy Groups</h2>In a letter shared publicly by the organizations, the activists urge the swift removal of the Grok app and the X platform from mobile marketplaces, saying both tools facilitate widespread misuse.&nbsp;They stated that allowing these AI-enabled services to remain available violates app store safety guidelines and normalizes harmful behavior online. The letter includes backing from organizations such as UltraViolet, the National Organization for Women, MoveOn, and ParentsTogether Action.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/AAPL">Apple stock</a> and&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GOOGL">Alphabet stock</a> inched 0.5% and 0.4% lower, respectively, in Wednesday’s premarket.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Alleged Harm And Evidence</h2>Scrutiny grew after Grok began producing sexually explicit, degrading, or violent images involving women and children, many of which circulated widely on X. The groups said that Grok itself admitted to creating one instance of child sexual abuse material on Dec. 28, 2025, stating that an AI image depicting girls aged 12-16 in sexualized outfits violated ethical and legal norms.Several governments have already acted. The round valued the company at $230 billion.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI Players Spend Aggressively</h2>The AI sector is becoming an arms race, with leaders like OpenAI and Google pouring billions of dollars into new AI capabilities and aggressive product rollout schedules.OpenAI has&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/sam-altman-openai-spend-trillions-of-dollars-on-infrastructure/chsPsmJRdfF">committed</a> to spending a whopping $1.4 trillion over the next seven years, mainly towards data centers. If they don’t, the stock market, which carries significant weight in Big Tech and AI-linked stocks, could crash.&nbsp;&nbsp;xAI’s cash burn rate, which Bloomberg sources report is less than $1 billion a month, is, however, significantly lower than OpenAI's. Musk and his xAI are the most recent entrants in the AI space.Interestingly, the Tesla founder said in a recent Joe Rogan podcast interview that he was essentially forced to step in after calling for the AI industry to slow down. In fact, in 2023, Musk was part of a group of tech leaders that signed a&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://futureoflife.org/open-letter/pause-giant-ai-experiments/">petition</a> calling on AI developers to rein in the pace of development.“I came to realize that really there's two choices here: Either be a spectator or a participant. Safety advocates say those changes coincided with a sharp increase in manipulated images derived from real photos and videos.Officials in Europe, India, and Malaysia have opened probes into X after a surge in nonconsensual intimate images, said the report.&nbsp;At a Monday press briefing, European Commission spokesperson, Thomas Regnier said the agency is “very seriously looking into this matter” and knows that X and Grok have introduced a spicy mode displaying explicit sexual content.&nbsp;“This is not ‘spicy,’” Regnier said. “This is illegal. This is appalling. This is disgusting.
