Mac Studio In Focus
Apple has not updated the Mac Pro since 2023, when it released the model with its in-house M2 Ultra chip. Last year, the tech giant launched the smaller Mac Studio with the M3 Ultra.
Since then, the Mac Pro has become less important for the company’s computer products, as per a report from Bloomberg, which also said that it was a much smaller seller compared to the Mac Studio. Apple had also reportedly begun winding down inventory of the Mac Pro in its stores over the last several weeks, as per the report.
As per a separate Bloomberg report, Apple is looking to update the Mac Studio models later this year with faster processors.
Apple’s Siri Plans
Meanwhile, Apple is also reportedly considering changes to its assistant Siri, with plans to make it available to competing artificial intelligence assistants. The move is expected to help the company evolve into an AI platform.
The tech company is reportedly working on tools that will allow AI chatbot apps, including Google Gemini or Anthropic PBC’s Claude to be installed on the iPhone via the App Store, to finally integrate with Siri. The upgrades are expected to be launched in the upcoming iOS 27 update.
