Tesla Model 3 Faces US Safety Probe Over Emergency Door Release

The U.S. auto safety regulator has opened a defect petition into 179,071 Tesla Model 3 vehicles.

The deal values the Castrol business at $10.1 billion and is expected to close by the end of 2026, the company said.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Debt Downsizing</h2>In February 2025, BP set a target to reduce its net debt to between $14 billion and $18 billion by 2027. The company also said that it would raise $20 billion through divestments by the end of 2027. Castrol’s sale proceeds would go toward meeting this debt target, the company said. As of the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, BP's net debt was $26.1 billion.Under the terms of the sale, BP and Stonepeak will create a joint venture where the oil giant will maintain a 35% stake, which it can sell after a two-year lock-in period. The company will also use $800 million to prepay future dividends on the retained Castrol stake.“The transaction allows us to realise value for our shareholders, generating significant proceeds while continuing to benefit from Castrol’s strong growth momentum. Cipher Mining Expands Beyond Texas With 200 MW Ohio Site Acquisition

Cipher Mining’s acquisition of “Ulysses” includes 195 acres of land and secured capacity with utility agreements that will connect with the power grid by Q4 2027.

UBS assigned $11B to the remaining spectrum based on precedents, resulting in the revised price target.However, the firm added that the company’s 3% SpaceX stake, now implied at about $22B or roughly $65 per share assuming an $800 billion valuation, represented a significant upside versus prior marks. Meanwhile, Citi analyst Michael Rollins hiked EchoStar’s price target, citing recent reports that SpaceX’s upcoming public listing at an allegedly $800B could double the pre-tax value of the cost basis for its SpaceX shares that it would receive after its pending spectrum sales.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Spectrum Deals</h2>In September, EchoStar agreed to sell its AWS-4 and H-block spectrum licenses to SpaceX in a $17 billion cash-and-stock deal that would give the satellite company up to $8.5 billion in SpaceX stock. Some media reports have also suggested that SpaceX may go public through a reverse merger with Echostar.Apart from the SpaceX deal, EchoStar also agreed to sell about $23 billion worth of low-band and mid-band wireless spectrum to AT&amp;T in August. The American EV maker is also facing increasing competition from Chinese counterparts who are rolling out more fully electric models across the region.The latest data from ACEA showed that Tesla’s market share in Europe is down to 2.1% for the month, down from 2.5%. At the same time, BYD’s market share grew to 2% from 0.6% while SAIC Motors held a 2.2% share, up from 1.9% in the same period last year.Tesla’s European market struggles come even as the region's overall electric car market is growing. As per ACEA, battery-electric cars captured 16.9% of the EU market share from January to November 2025, up from 13.4% for the same period in 2024.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Big Picture</h2>Tesla’s European tailwinds come as the company’s shares recently pulled back from record highs, and Wall Street analysts have grown cautious about the company. UBS cut its estimate for Tesla’s fourth quarter deliveries to about 415,000 vehicles from 429,000 and maintained a ‘Sell’ rating on the stock with a $247 price target. Deutsche Bank also expects Tesla to miss its fourth-quarter deliveries.Tesla’s autonomy ambitions are in focus as the company pushes deeper into full self-driving cars and robotaxis that are already available in some markets, including the U.S., Canada, and China. Tesla EU Sales Slump 34% In November As BYD Surges Ahead

Tesla reported a 34% decline in new vehicle registrations in the European Union for Nov. 2025, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.

The deal is structured to include an initial cash purchase price of $20 million and deferred cash of $10 million payable in three equal annual installments starting in 2029.The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026. Following the announcement, MOS shares rose over 2% at the time of writing.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Deal Contours</h2>As per the terms of the deal, International Minerals Carlsbad will gain access to the company’s K-Mag and Dynamate brands and will also take over the asset retirement obligations of Mosaic’s Carlsbad operations. Mosaic Company Sells New Mexico Potash Mine To International Minerals In $30 Million Deal

It will also receive favorable treatment for federal tax purposes, resulting in a significant tax benefit.Meanwhile, Stanley Black &amp; Decker expects CAM to generate revenue of about $405 million to $415 million in 2025. The firm expects to utilize the sale proceeds to reduce its debt."CAM's established brands, engineering prowess, and deep customer relationships are a perfect complement to our existing business.
