Shares of ParaZero Technologies (PRZO) popped 15% pre-market before paring most of its gains after the opening bell on Wednesday, after the company reported favorable results from an internal live test of its DefendAir system.
At the time of writing, PRZO shares were trading up 2%.
Defending 70 MPH Drone Attack
During the trial, the system successfully intercepted a fast-moving drone traveling at 70 miles an hour using its patented net-launching mechanism. The test simulated a realistic combat scenario in which a hostile drone rapidly approached ground forces.
ParaZero added that the test results demonstrate that DefendAir can be used against high-speed unmanned systems, including first-person view (FPV) attack drones.
“We believe that intercepting a 70 mph threat represents a significant advancement for force protection in modern battlefields,” said Ariel Alon, CEO of ParaZero.
The company will present its DefendAir system at the Enforce Tac security and defense trade fair in Germany from February 23 to 25.
Anti-Drone Contracts Galore
ParaZero signed multiple contracts for its DefendAir solution this year. In January, the company announced it had secured its first purchase order from a primary Israeli defense entity for the Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) platform. The company also received a second order from a global defense corporation for its interception net-pods in the same month.
Additionally, ParaZero entered a reseller agreement with a Western European partner that includes an initial order for training kits, supporting its expansion across NATO-aligned markets.
