Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Brazil, the world’s top sugar producer, continues to post strong production, while production in India rebounded sharply after weather-related setbacks in recent years. This has lifted global supplies well above demand, leaving sugar prices under sustained pressure.India’s outlook has been particularly bearish for prices. The country is allowing sugar exports again to reduce domestic oversupply, and industry groups have raised production forecasts for the 2025/26 season. India’s sugar production jumped 23.4% to 11.83 million tonnes in the first three months of the 2025-26 season, the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories (NFCSF) reported on Wednesday.Brazil’s outlook also remains high, even though some forecasters expect output to ease slightly in later seasons. Gross annual production is expected to increase by 3% in the 2025-2026 season, according to reports.Government agencies and industry data continue to point to near-record production levels. Spot prices had closed at $24.9 per ounce on Dec. 31, 2024.Silver demand has climbed as industrial use accelerates, driven by rising adoption in solar panels and electric vehicles, raising concerns that supply may struggle to keep up. Demand has also been supported by uncertainty around the dollar following the Fed’s rate cut. Cataplexy involves sudden and brief muscle weakness.Following the FDA’s feedback, Axsome said its regulatory data package is sufficient to support an NDA submission, which the company expects to complete in January 2026. The AXS-12 development program includes three controlled efficacy trials and a completed long-term safety study.AXS-12 has also received Orphan Drug Designation for narcolepsy. Two Phase 3 real-world trials, conducted on boats, showed that NEREUS significantly reduced vomiting compared with placebo. In the Motion Syros study, vomiting rates fell to roughly 18%-20% with NEREUS, compared with more than 44% with placebo.Similar results were seen in the Motion Serifos trial, where risk reductions exceeded 50%–70%.
