Sugar stocks jump up to 10% as world’s largest trader anticipates year of shortages

Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd, Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd, GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd and Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd are among the other gainers in the BSEs A group today, 24 August 2023.Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd surged 11.36% to Rs 24.41 at 11:45 IST. The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSEs A group. On the BSE, 54.66 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 43.01 lakh shares in the past one month.  Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd soared 10.62% to Rs 798.05.  The stock was the  second biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 1.04 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 81414 shares in the past one month.  Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd spiked 8.90% to Rs 222.6.  The stock was the  third biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 2.9 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 39653 shares in the past one month.  GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd jumped 8.73% to Rs 64.5.  The stock was the  fourth biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 52.4 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 9.26 lakh shares in the past one month.  Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd added 8.73% to Rs 780.25.  The stock was the  fifth biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 3.78 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 42529 shares in the past one month.
