Back in 2011, CTSO got EU approval for a cytokine filter, very similar to the SCD, to treat sepsis. The company Mcap shot up 10X, to $300M. EU approval was based on safety data only, not efficacy. The CTSO device has not proven its efficacy for anything yet still sells $30M annually in the EU. If we get US approval for the SCD, I would expect Mcap to be $3B or greater. This current price is a steal.

This means evaluating SCD benefit in sepsis is part of the PRESPECIFIED statistical plan and won't be a post hoc analysis.
