Its value stems from solving the double-spending problem without trusted intermediaries, creating the first truly scarce digital asset with censorship resistance and permissionless access that no government, corporation, or individual can control.  Bitcoin operates as a decentralized peer-to-peer network where transactions are recorded on a public ledger called the blockchain, distributed across thousands of computers globally. Transactions are grouped into blocks added approximately every 10 minutes through mining, where specialized computers compete to solve complex mathematical puzzles.   Bitcoin has achieved mainstream adoption through multiple vectors. The January 2024 SEC approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Bitcoin investment to traditional finance participants, and corporations like Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are using Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset to protect against currency debasement, offering MSTR holders amplified exposure to Bitcoin.   The Bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve with innovations like Ordinals, which emerged in January 2023 to enable NFT-like functionality directly on Bitcoin, and BRC-20 tokens, an experimental standard for creating fungible tokens using Ordinal inscriptions. BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) represents emerging financial applications extending beyond Bitcoin's traditional role, with protocols like Babylon allowing Bitcoin holders to stake BTC to secure Proof of Stake chains.

Bitcoin is trending after a sharp decline triggered widespread liquidations, leading to a polarized community debate. While some view the drop as a buying opportunity, others express deep skepticism and are linking the volatility to controversial discussions surrounding the Epstein files.

Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. @Citten I just received notification from the company.  Ummm it looked good.  
 
Diluted eps .76 9 months $1.22. 
Cash now $26M up from year ago $19M 
  Their ISM business, which is their highest margin business at 55% grew to $11M from $3.6M in py qtr. 
 
Not really any narrative on business or the WHY that I saw.   
 
Due note they have NOL and apparently released some as tax benefit of $3.7M really helped total net income of $8.2M.  Without that, eps closer to .41.  Still excellent for a stock near $5.50.   If annualized it would be $1.60 or PE of 3.5x. 
 
Seems cheap when you consider sales are up more than 100% for the 6 months and Operating Income (excluding tax benefit) has gone from just less than $1M to $9M or about .86 eps for the 6 months (not including tax bene). 
 
No real LT debt.  Has over $2/share in cash.  More receivables than payables. 
 
Seems too good to be true.  Need to understand why this isn&#39;t much higher.

@Kevn1111 Thanks for the input, Kevin. As always, I highly value your opinion. I appreciate the mention of the NOL and for extracting the tax benefits from your calculations since I wasn&#39;t sure how to factor that aspect. 

The ISM business is indeed crazy good, especially the remote monitoring and related software ecosystem. I know Mark says to disregard P/E with growth microcaps but that sentiment is guided to exceptionally high P/E, not 3.5x with this growth so taking that in to account, this does seem to be a potential Maj gem. 

Given the lack of clear guidance I suppose the question is, is the momentum of 2 excellent quarters in a row a sign of sustainability or is it circumstantial and seasonality driven. It was interesting watching this and $ACFN this earnings season to see how these two reacted with both being nanocaps with high variability based on sustainability. The drop was more than anticipated and I haven&#39;t had time to investigate why but I did get back in on a position just based on PA and am up on that. WSTL I had followed your position after the last ER in interest but not in position. I opened a starter pre-er this quarter above the notes on my chart of what I have as your initial $5.34 entry, but somewhere I believe in the general range of your later addition range, though I didn&#39;t document that so based on memory. I&#39;m intrigued with this and I&#39;m going to increase my position soon.

Some of my smallcaps not doing well.  NTWK absolutely destroyed.  Lucky I just did a small position when Maj added it. Never found reason to add. 

Still love my ITMSF and GKPRF although both are down like 30% from highs.  Added 15k to GKPRF .  Own 60k and 75k shares respectively of each.

@Kevn1111 Thanks. Yeah, I have to say I&#39;m feeling pretty disenfranchised lately with how the market has been moving in regard to breadth. I was hoping that we’d have a rebalancing from megas to smalls halfway through earnings but it doesn&#39;t seem to have materialized as of yet. As of such, I&#39;ve had to delay my strategy shift. I&#39;m still holding strong undervalued names, but at the moment I’m finding better value in doing inverse bets against equities with terrible fundamentals until the tides turn. 

I&#39;m behind on my Maj names as of late so NTWK is new to me. I love Maj but I’m waiting for a confirmation that the market is back in an entrenched growth phase before I take up subs on Geo and his Substack to compare and contrast the two.

I'm still holding strong undervalued names, but at the moment I’m finding better value in doing inverse bets against equities with terrible fundamentals until the tides turn.

And Intermap is now something that is on my list as a top contener for finding an entry. I&#39;m nowhere near your levels but I appreciate that you share your positions as it helps give me a ground to work from.

I'm trying to stay liquid outside of my long convictions, and I'm hoping that the Santa Claus rally this year translates to a breadth fix as I’ll be disappointed if it becomes just another cycling chair game between the MAG7.

@Citten I just always try to be transparent.  I am retired so I am not balls to the wall invested.  

I have a few large cap dividend stocks for preservation of capital. Smallcap is for high growth. 

On Intermap they are bidding on 4 contracts (in Indonesia) totaling up to $180M or so.  They are the incumbent as they got the first 10% 

So the feeling is they win.  But bidding was delayed.  CEO went over there to personally submit.  

I believe the financial bid winners will be announced in Jan, maybe selected in Dec but not formally announced till Jan to allow for any challenges.   The World Bank is involved but I don’t know all the specifics.  Point is don’t wait too long if you want in and have high conviction they win.

That said I have a weird feeling they miss this qtr.  So mgmt comments will be very important. I have zero info one way or the other and May just be my conservative nature.
