$SLB   $HAL $VLO $DINO    Venezuela crude has been trading at $22 a barrel.  That will more than likely rise significantly to the $50+ mark.   Those proceeds eventually will go to pay back the billions in receivables debt owed to various American oil companies.  I think SLB has something in the neighborhood of $490+ million owed in just receivables.  Buy and hold.  SLB will not go down significantly and it is about to have significant upside.   Even before this Venezuela stuff, SLB had many options to return value to shareholders.

Those proceeds eventually will go to pay back the billions in receivables debt owed to various American oil companies.  I think SLB has something in the neighborhood of $490+ million owed in just receivables.  Buy and hold.  SLB will not go down significantly and it is about to have significant upside.   Even before this Venezuela stuff, SLB had many options to return value to shareholders.

@SportsFan01 Most Venezuelan oil comes from the Orinoco Belt. Generally the crude is a sour extra-heavy oil, high viscosity, high sulfur and a high carbon content. Extracting this crude from the well requires a lot of heat and steam injection which generates far more carbon dioxide emissions than lighter oils. Refining  heavy oils generates three to four times as much greenhouse gas than the production of conventional oil. The other factor is where it&#39;s extracted. A case could be made that no two crudes are the same and the VZ crude is not high value.  I am surprized at the $22 figure. Thx for your post, have a profitable new year.
