Western Digital Corp.

Toshibas reported plan to double HDD capacity for AI data centers fueled a sharp WDC selloff on fears of added competition and weaker pricing power. Traders debated whether the reaction was excessive given the delayed expansion and strong AI-storage demand, or whether added supply could eventually pressure margins and market share.

Rivian Automotive Inc

Rivians record Q3 deliveries topped analyst expectations as the R2 ramp gained momentum, but the company reaffirmed rather than raised its annual guidance. Traders are split between viewing the volume growth as progress and seeing the share-price decline as a sell-the-news reaction, with profitability and the pace of the production ramp still concerns.

Seagate Technology Holdings Plc

Toshibas reported plan to expand AI hard-drive production has sparked concern that added competition could weaken Seagates pricing power, driving a sharp selloff in STX and WDC. Many traders call the reaction overdone, arguing that AI-storage demand remains strong and Toshibas capacity ramp may not quickly close the industry supply gap.

Redwires selection for a Space Force contract vehicle is a major focus, with traders viewing it as validation of the companys defense-space pipeline while noting that the award guarantees no revenue. @SportsFan01 I doubt it goes back to 40. The business doesn’t really have a moat in today’s world.

I am surprised they keep growing users. I really hope they can get to 24+ so i can sell and gtfo. Holding many many shares!

@rightOneTime Full disclosure, my breakeven point is $22. I would be happy with $30, but you are going to see the market turn going into next year.

--- Iran will end and gasoline prices will plummet.
--- Santa Claus rally
--- Christmas season
--- The year after midterms is always good.

But the biggest problem with this company is piss poor management. Plus, I could see Pinterest getting bought out.

@SportsFan01 30 would be great! I will take anything above 24, especially with no partnerships or acquisition news.

My concern is that if they have anything short of an amazing ER, it’s gonna dump hard and my bags are gonna get too heavy!

So far no rumors of buyout at all and they secured a multi year deal with AWS so not like they are hoping to get acquired.

I hope you are right though…for the sake of my bags

@rightOneTime I think they are also going to announce a new CFO and that should raise the stock price. As for earnings, I see an average earnings coming in due to the warning that was made. I think we will end up somewhere in the $20-$24 range. I mean really, we were just at $25 and it dropped over BS. Hopefully we can get to $22 before earnings. We have 4 weeks before earnings. My biggest worry is the midterm BS actually.

@SportsFan01 hopefully we can go to 23 before earnings. Then i can sell 24 covered calls before earnings or just take the loss and gtfo. Holding a substantial position through earnings in a shitty company is a wild experience 🤣
