Expanded ‘Just Cause’ eviction bill gets support from Gov. Lamont – NBC Connecticut - I am protected as a disabled person at the end of my lease if I did want to stay here, but I’m already looking for someplace else to move. They should expand the protections, especially to rental units less than five units. It’s not fair to people that rent two family houses. $Z that said rents have really come down. I’ve been looking all week. A bill that would protect tenants from being evicted without cause has a stronger chance of becoming law. It's failed every year it's been brought up, but for the first time, it's getting support from Gov. Ned Lamont. Housing advocates celebrated the support at the Capitol on Tuesday.
