Starting this month, $PYPL‘s Venmo app will allow users to transfer crypto between Venmo accounts, PayPal accounts, and external wallets like MetaMask wallets. 💳
This move takes crypto from being a shiny investment toy to a legit currency you can use to buy avocado toast and pay back your friends for movie tickets.
And their presser showed some very interesting stats:
- 74% of their customers have continued to hodl crypto in their Venmo accounts
- Since the beginning of 2023, nearly 50% of customers who already had crypto added to their holdings
- More than 50% of customers said they use Venmo to manage their crypto because of safety and its easy interface
Venmo said they will continue to roll out additional crypto products and services this year. 🤘
