Stocktwits Top 25 – Week 26 📉

The ST Top 25 S&P 500 List was notably weaker this week.

15 of 25 names closed lower.

The top-9 stocks on the list remained the same as last week. 

$NVDA chugged 7.65% and was the list’s biggest winner. The semiconductor is now ranked #16 as a Freshman. See more below. 

2 Freshmen debuted on the list. They are $NVDA and $JCI.

The Stocktwits Top 25 S&P 500 Momentum Meter fell 0.02% while the S&P 500 gained 1.67%. The 1.69% differential in favor of the full index shows the top stocks underperformed the full index by a decent amount.

ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100

The ST Top 25 N100 was the only list to register a gain. 19/25 names closed positive.

Skyworks Solutions soared 7% and claimed the twentieth spot on the list as a Freshman. 

$WBA dipped 7.65% and was the biggest loser. The stock fell from #9 to #25… 📉 Check it out below. 

Two Freshmen made the list. They are Skyworks Solutions and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.

The ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100 Momentum Meter moved up 1.9% in Week 26 while the full Nasdaq 100 climbed 2.67%. The 0.77% difference shows the top stocks were weaker than the full index by a bit.

The ST Top 25 R2K List stepped off the gas in Week 26. The annual reconstitution took place this week which resulted in many new names making the list.

The ST Top 25 R2K Momentum Meter decreased 5.4% and the Russell 2000 index dropped 1.23%. The 4.17% differential shows the top stocks were much weaker than the full index.

$IDT rose as much as 24% on Friday in response to the announcement. 

$IDT has ascended 267% YTD and sits at all-time highs.

The ST Top 25 Top Dawg for Week 26, 2021 is #20 R2K – IDT Corp.

IDT Corp. improved 25% in Week 26 after Alta Fox Capital issued a positive report on the telecommunications and payments company.

$IDT rose as much as 24% on Friday in response to the announcement. 

$IDT has ascended 267% YTD and sits at all-time highs.

The Winners 📈

△ #16 S&P 500 – NVIDIA rose 7.65% in Week 26 and debuted on the ST Top 25 S&P 500 List as a Freshman. 

$NVDA was a tank, closing positive ⅘ days this week. The semiconductor finished the week above the $800-level @ $819. 

On Monday, NVIDIA and Google Cloud announced the creation of the industry’s first AI-on-5G Innovation Lab. The lab will allow network infrastructure players and AI software partners to grow, test, and implement solutions that help expedite the creation of smart cities, smart factories, and other advanced 5G and AI applications.

△ #20 N100 – Skyworks Solutions spiked 7% this week after reporting Q2 earnings. The semiconductor is a Freshman on the ST Top 25 List.

In the wake of supply chain problems, Barclays upped target prices for $SWKS on Tuesday to $200 from $185. 

Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis said: 

These companies are positioned for beat/raises into earnings and likely outperform into the fall. 

$SWKS is up 25.14% YTD.

The Sinners 📉

▼ #2 N100 – Walgreens Boots Alliance wallowed 7.65% and lost 16 spots on the ST Top 25 N100 List. $WBA is now ranked #25.

Revenue: $34B, +12% YoY

Rosalind Brewer, CEO of $WBA, said: 

This quarter’s results demonstrate continued momentum, and while challenges lie ahead, we are in a strong position to grow and innovate our core retail and pharmacy businesses for the future.

$WBA sank 7.4% Thursday on fears of an ending vaccine frenzy. Still, the stock is up 20.8%  YTD.

▼ #20 S&P 500 – Invesco LTD lowered six spots on the ST Top 25 S&P 500 List this week. The investment management company was the biggest loser, falling 3.6%. 

$IVZ traded lower 3 out of 5 days this week and looks to be forming a head and shoulders pattern on the daily chart. We will see if this follows to the downside in the ensuing weeks.

$IVZ is up 51.6% YTD.

▼ #3 R2K – Atossa Therapeutics dropped 38% in Week 26. 🩸The biotech is a Freshman on the ST Top 25 R2K List this week despite the poor performance because it was included in the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes on Wednesday.

$ATOS flopped 4 out of the 5 trading days this week and tumbled 16% Friday. The stock sold off for no apparent reason, price is news. 😉
