President Donald Trump on Monday stated that the U.S. is continuing its Iran mission amid the death of four troops on the third day of the war.

“In their memory, we continue this mission with ferocious, unyielding resolve to crush the threat this terrorist regime poses to the American people,” he said while addressing reporters at the White House.

He added that the U.S. has by far the strongest military in the world and that it will easily prevail. “We’re already substantially ahead of our time projections, but whatever the time is, it’s okay, whatever it takes,” he added.

The President added that while the U.S. has projected a timeline of four to five weeks for the Iran mission, the country has the capability to go on for far longer than that.

Meanwhile, U.S. equities were mixed in Monday morning’s trade. Iran Ignored US Warnings On Nuclear Weapons Pursuit, Says Trump

The President added that Iran ignored the warnings issued by the United States with respect to its pursuit of nuclear weapons, despite the strikes carried out in June 2025.

“In addition, the regime’s conventional ballistic missile program was growing rapidly and dramatically, and this posed a very clear, colossal threat to America and our forces stationed overseas,” he added.

Trump stated that Iran had missiles capable of hitting Europe, and that it would soon have missiles capable of reaching the U.S. “The purpose of this fast-growing missile program was to shield their nuclear weapon development and make it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to stop them from making these highly forbidden, by us, nuclear weapons,” he added.

The President stated that an Iran armed with long-range missiles and nuclear weapons would be intolerable for both the Middle East and the American people.

He added that the U.S.’s objectives with the mission are very clear: the destruction of Iran’s missile capabilities, the annihilation of its navy, preventing it from obtaining nuclear weapons, and lastly, preventing the Iranian regime from arming terrorist armies outside of the country’s borders.
