UUUU Stock On Track To Hit 14-Year Highs As Critical Minerals Sector Continues To See Strong Investor Interest

Energy Fuels Inc. (UUUU) stock shot up 12% in Tuesday’s pre-market session and is on track to hit a 14-year high on continued strength among rare earth and critical minerals stocks on account of China’s rare earth export curbs.

China’s new export restrictions are likely to limit global supply, increasing demand for non-Chinese producers like Energy Fuels. 

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around Energy Fuels’ stock remained in ‘extremely bullish’ territory. Message volume improved to ‘extremely high’ from ‘high’ levels in 24 hours. 

The stock experienced a 323% increase in user message count in 24 hours, according to platform data. A bullish Stocktwits user predicted that the shares could touch $30 faster than previous predictions. 

Another user said they will be watching the Department of Energy meeting on Tuesday regarding the future of energy, particularly uranium.

Energy Fuels focuses on natural materials like uranium, rare earth elements, vanadium, heavy mineral sands, and medical isotopes. It runs several uranium projects in the western U.S. It owns the White Mesa Mill in Utah, where it processes uranium. Energy Fuels is also exploring how to extract medical isotopes from its existing processes to support the development of new cancer treatments.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would place 100% tariffs on Chinese goods as a reaction to China limiting rare earth exports. In recent months, the White House has increased efforts to boost the production of key minerals within the U.S. 

Energy Fuels' stock has gained over 363% in 2025 and over 314% in the last 12 months.
