@Bawitdaba According to Danny McInnes’s recap of the recent RADHardTech interview, Sam Rubin acknowledged that a takeover is always possible for a public company. However, he believes LightPath is still far from realizing its full potential and that selling the company at the current share price would be a mistake.

Right but I think Sam also mentioned that someone might be wanting to take advantage by buying on this dip . The BOD would then be obligated to evaluate it.

Of course the company is only worth what someone is willing to pay but the analysis shows a current realistic buyout valuation between $20 - $25 indicating that we are currently way undervalued.

If I were a short I would tread carefully as an offer could come at any time.

@Bawitdaba Yes, those are great examples of acquisition interest in optics and photonics. LightPath isn’t the only publicly traded U.S. optics company, but its proprietary BlackDiamond technology and infrared imaging capabilities could make it an attractive strategic target. A well-funded private equity firm could make an unsolicited offer, although that remains speculation. A credible bid at a substantial premium could certainly spark a major revaluation of $LPTH. :)
