In for a trade only, technicals do point to a &quot;reversal to the mean&quot; sort of move higher... I am using October contracts short put vs long call on a 1x3 ratio (equivalent to 150% levegare ar current spot)...i am at risk below $28 if the stock doesnt bounce.

While the $JDEPY transaction adds a lot of leverage to the combined balance sheet (from 3.3x to nearly 6x), they have bridge financing to close this and that becomes a worry next year... Again in for a trade only

I rolled the below into November exp a few weeks ago... but short term options aside, the most important piece of news today imo is that mgmt heard the streets feedback and pivoted on the debt structure, leverage now wont jump to 6x, it will be towards the high end of IG rating for both entities (3.5x to 4.25x), this is HUGE. 
 
Additionally, did u guys read the fine print of the 4.75% $3BN convert?  The conversion px is $37.25 and dividends offset NET...again, dont just focus on this earnings release, this is now a consortium of debt and equity investors including: starboard, kkr, apollo and GS alts. 
 
I am prob going to follow through and hold/roll this for longer, plenty of time til Nov expiration for flows to flip and we cross $30+

I am using October listed options (oct 17th expiration) so my timeframe is less than 30days since I will close out the position well before expiration 
 
with rsi at 22, implied volatility flat (Sep vs Oct) and Skew is also flat (which is not really a good thing for me considering i am selling puts)... but at least that kind of points to LESS demand for puts/downside hedges... which is good if you think/want this to bounce. 
 
To be clear i am looking for a mild 5% to 8% bounce to  $29 - $30 range, it doesnt take much to make money (or go bust) with options because of the leverage.
