We peaked in August/September.  09/15 was the last day in the $67&#39;s ($67.26).  On 09/17, the Fed announced their first rate cut.  On 09/19, MAIN issued their .30 dividend.  Then we started downward. 
 
On 10/01, the government shutdown started.  And on 10/08, MAIN issued their .255 dividend.  People hung around from 10/01 to 10/08 for the dividend.  Common for us, but the shutdown trimmed a bit more than normal. 
 
We dropped +$3 on 10/09 (Open $60.10, Closed $57.08).  Since, we&#39;ve been in the $56-58 channel. 
 
BDC&#39;s typically do not do as well in low rate markets.  Their target customers gain more access to public debt vehicles on the open market at better rates.  Compounding matters, low rates = low returns. 
 
Lower Rates leads to price compression fears and investors rotate.  Fears of AI bubble, jobs data, and tariff uncertainty (SC ruling in Jan), and other are in play. 
 
We need clarity.  But even with it, rates are still going lower.  Can&#39;t escape that one.
