@MarketPro $APLD $RILY $BW The $2M figure needs context. That’s APLD’s ASC 321 carrying value for an illiquid 10% stake—not a market valuation of Base or evidence the stake is worth only $2M.

Same with the note: Base owes APLD the money, not the reverse. The facility permits up to $100M, but principal outstanding at August 31 was $58.5M. “Up to $100M” alone makes the funded exposure sound larger than it was.

The real catalyst is the BW guarantee: a Base exchange listing will let APLD terminate its backstop on a $2.4B project by giving notice. That is huge.

The way I see this: APLD’s Base stake is the upside; the power contract is the strategy; the guarantee is the risk. The IPO could change all three.

So yes, APLD’s relationship with Base is much bigger than a $2M carrying value suggests. But you have to distinguish an investment from a loan receivable, and a contingent guarantee from funded debt.

@GT3_007 Re: Base Electron:

Equity stake: Applied Digital received approximately 10% of Base Electron under a design-build agreement with Babcock & Wilcox.

Reported value: Applied Digital valued its investment at $2 million as of August 31, 2026.

Additional financial exposure: Applied Digital has also provided Base Electron with a demand-grid promissory note of up to $100 million.

Power supply relationship: On October 4, 2026, APLD entered into a 15-year power purchase agreement for capacity and energy from the planned 1,200 MW facility, intended to supply its Polaris Forge 3 data center campus.

APLD’s direct ownership is relatively small at 10%, but its economic relationship with Base Electron is much larger than the equity stake alone suggests because of the financing exposure, contractual power-supply relationship, and guarantee obligations. Those arrangements are important when assessing APLD’s potential AI infrastructure growth and financial risk.

Hope this helps....

@GT3_007 @MarketPro So all this bullshit killed BW ,Riley 's 30 million shares went from 22 to 5 per share grand total loss of 405 million. BW doesn't need to do AI , just power plants rebuilding. But these dumb bastards don't get it. Hint that ugly gray thing next the river built 50 years ago with big electrical wires to it. They will most likely give it to us for free.
