Market conflating IBM&#39;s remark on softness in their hardware sales (and thus the software stack associated with that) to softness in SAAS. This is deliberate institutional &quot;conflation&quot; not lazy analysis. AI related IPO&#39;s are a protected species. Inference costs are being being hotly debated, hard to justify sky high capex if you cannot make money on inference. META CTO firing the first shot saying 80% inference usage dosent need frontier capabilities.  
 
There was less SAAS shorting and even some covering last couple of weeks but pretty sure we see that go up next several sessions until NOW reports next week. Could be an inflection point if positive. Until such time might as well join the semi crowd on pullbacks as momentum back in semi court.

Good earnings and a pretty good call - enough to confuse the SAASocalypse crowd. Pushback on expensive tokens was interesting to hear - pretty sure you will hear more about it in the coming months. Neoclouds and hyperscalers are going to struggle selling inference tokens at higher prices if they keep paying inflated prices for their buildouts. In the end quality software companies with the bench strength to integrate and package AI will benefit.   
 
NOW short volume today was close to 7 million shares @ 15% of volume - should be an interesting next few days.
