$WRD A thesis on why it made sense to buy WRD when you did and what went wrong on the thesis from my point of view and my own case study.
Part 1 of several parts. My numbers are msotly from memory so they may be a bit diff, but not by much. The points I make matter, not the actual numbers.

Everyone that bought WRD expected a very different outcome for a company that started its IPO with 10K Intent Orders for 4 diff L4 AV covering 20-30 cities from 7 -8 countries with 4 driver less permits. The 4 AV were already developed, expensed and authorized for deployments (bus, van, sweep and taxi.

The competitor AV companies had one AV for one country with 1 driver less permit. The Pre IPO Filing said Weridie was the only AV company with that large a market and that number of L4 AV options. That was a true statement. You, like me, expected a better deployment post IPO on that data.

Part 2
Over the next 2 years WeRide's market grew into into 60 cities from 13 countries with 9 driver less permits on multiple models of Sweeps+buses, the van and multiple taxi models and now added ADAS and whevr else its data collection segments may add to future revenue.
No other AV company has that scope or scale.

I traded $WRD twice for decent profits starting in July, after the NVDA false flag understanding. I 3rd postion was taken in the fall and I've held it since. The gains from the two trades mostly offset the loss on this position. I bought the 3rd postion thinking what many of you thought.AV was the next promised technology and WRD dominated the market size with diff AV all fully developed and authorized.

The problem we all have now is that scaling did not evolve like we thought. Pilots are for a few AV in a few markets, some with fares, some w/o fares, some with reduced fares. WeRide market coverage (now 60 cities) did not turn into market dominance and competition

Part 3
is miles behind. Any existing AV company that has a taxi and wants to develop their own bus or sweep or van will have a long lead time and big expense ahead of them to get these road ready.

My posts for the last 12 years are about that. About the scaling. My mantra became and remains "sell something somewhere soon to someone at scale." Do this while you have superior positioning and a competitive advantage.

Tony is not dumb but he's not very sharp IMO deciding or explaining the production ans sales part on being an international company. I think Jen is a failure at CFO and as Head of Internatinl and won't repeat why. I shared a lot of stories of the world biggest companies in the US that all had global ambitions like WeRide does starting when they IPO that had to make course corrections before they went bankrupt. They the nbecame Apple, MSFT, and other leading companies. This is my worry on WeRide and WRD says it has merit.

Final Part

The market looks at WRD difff than you do by focusing on fundamentals. For more than 1 year I've posted about the technical that rule over WRD and I showed why fundamentals were/are irrelevant for the market that decides stock prices. I show what qtr rate odf changes in inst ownership thinks about WRD and WeRide ans share my views on what each qtr report means looking back and going forward.

My calls on WRD using the chart are about 90% accurate. It's not what I think, it is what the market says. Eventually fundamentals will meet technical and that is when WRD ramps and where shorts move on.

We are not here yet. We finally have some guides from tony to model. It's all moving to slowly for all of us in the right direction. I'm mad (disappointed) about WRD I will not deny the reality as I see it, I am hopeful and I will keep calling WRD and WeRide like I see it.
I galeld for $5 (WRD fell below it Friday), I still see low $4's and last year I sahred a price target on a pattern

P.S.
targeting $2's and that is not invalidated but it does not mean WRD falls that far but it could.

GRAN tagged 42 and it is profitable. WRD is 2.5 years away from being profitable.

So that's the summary from my view and explains what happend and why we are where we are today and the chart is not showing me the next 12 months is set up to be any better than the past 24 months.

Now that we were told when profitability comes, I trust institutions will begin taking a position i n and adding a bit every qtr until they have a full allocation. Q3 13F get reported in about 6 weeks t o see if that happened.
