$CLF Wall Street is so far up AI ass that they are blinded by the fact for NVDIA to sell all those chips and for these data centers to run the domestic supply chain needs built. Most of the cap-ex spent by the hyper scalers are gonna spent on steel. 9-5 % of data center cap-ex goes to structural steel; 40-55% to electrical gear/infrastructure; 15-33 % on cooling and mechanical systems. Now think how much of these costs are going to cascade down into Cliffs. The revenue that Wall Street is chasing the hype on going to be spent on companies like Cliffs that’s bolstering the domestic supply chain. After Covid do you really think the US is gonna go back to outsourcing its steel; that caused so much supply chain headaches it only makes sense to keep steel production domestically.
